Chicago IPP

Clinical Partnership

Since 2011 AMK Counseling has donated the funding to make IPP possible! Currently, AMK therapists also provide the therapeutic services to IPP participants. All participants see licensed professionals from AMK and get quality private practice services. This is an important distinction that allows participants to not only “get by” but to thrive! AMK Counseling has offices in Lincoln Park & Ravenswood.
AMK has made the commitment of covering all operational and administrative costs. This means that 100% of the donations we receive will go directly to services.

Community Partnerships

IPP Partners with Cristo Rey Jesuit High School to provide counseling to current and alumni students free of charge. Cristo Rey Jesuit High School provides a Catholic, college preparatory education and professional work experience to students from Spanish-speaking families with limited financial means.
The reason for the school’s existence is to advance the human and intellectual capacities, as well as the religious and cultural heritage, of the immigrant families it serves. Through its Corporate Work Study Program, faith-based college preparatory education, and Spanish heritage language curriculum, the goal is to prepare students to succeed in college and to assume leadership roles in the civic, religious, business, and cultural life of our city and nation.
Currently IPP is partnering with Girl Forward to offer full scholarship counseling slots to mentees in need. Girl Forward is dedicated to creating and enhancing opportunities for girls in grades 9-12 who are refugees, immigrants, and asylum seekers. Please check out Girl Forward.org to learn more about the remarkable work of this organization!
Girl Forward’s mentoring program pairs girls with mentors to engage in “4W” activities (Wellness, Wisdom, Wallet and World) in order to explore their passions and graduate from high school. Girls are paired with women mentors within the local community for at least one school year, and they meet together at least two hours weekly to talk about anything from school, to relationships, to careers.
Additionally, IPP is partnering with Educate & Create, a Non Profit Organization created to service youth and young adults. Educate & Create strives to provide opportunities for mentorship, public service, and developmental programs. Their vision is to educate minds and create pathways for future success.
IPP therapists provide consultation to the mentoring curriculum, as well as general support to the organization as it grows. IPP also offers individual counseling to Educate & Create mentees through full scholarship slots. To learn more please visit EducateandCreate.org
